The traditional Chinese Gate that leads into San Francisco's China Town is called the "Dragon's Gate".  The lions seated at either end of the gate are intended to keep evil spirits out of the the community. 

Dragon's Gate marks the entry point into the Chinatown District of the San Francisco California.
