The historic Ferry Building in San Francisco can be found at the foot of Market Street in the city's Financial District. Completed in 1898, it is the main ferry terminal for passengers travelling to Oakland and other San Francisco Bay destinations.
Before the two Bay bridges were built, more than 100,000 commuters would pass through this building each and every day. The San Francisco Ferry Building was recently refurbished and is now home to some excellent restaurants, cafes and specialty shops.
